Music, movies, and munchies. Those are three things that Paris isn't but should be more known for. While the city is the capital for food, fashion, art, and more, very rarely do other people remember that it's almost home to fine music, great movies, and a whole lot of delectable munchies. Though, you'd probably remember if you go to the 19th arrondissement. In this part of the city, these three things reign supreme. And they're the ultimate reasons why you should relocate here. How so? This post will tell you all you need to know about this arrondissement!
A Music Lover's Home
Thanks to movies, people mostly associate music and Paris with street artists, probably with a dancing monkey to boot. Though you might still find a few of them in the city, the 19th arrondissement of Paris has a better relationship with music. This is, after all, the home of
Philharmonie de Paris, the premier concert hall in the French capital. Whenever you need a classical music fix, just pop on over to this beautiful Jean Nouvel-designed building and you'll get the performance of your life. Also in the same arrondissement is
Musée de la Musique, a wonderful weekend escape to learn all about this art form.

A Slice of French Countryside
When the hustles and bustles of the French metropolis gets a little bit too much, don't you just want to escape it all and go to the French countryside?
Brittany, perhaps? The historic site that is
Normandy? Well, you might not know this yet, but the 19th arrondissement does have its own slice of the French countryside that's just as charming. La Mouzaïa neighborhood, one of the more underrated
districts of Paris, is a quiet residential place made up of beautiful homes with stunning gardens, cobblestone pathways, and serenity that's quite novel in Paris. Walking through this district alone is a worthy enough reason to
move to Paris!

Underrated Ponds and Canals
Sure, the River Seine is the most famous body of water in Paris. But it's not the only one that's worthwhile. Over on the 19th arrondissement are two you might want to check out: Le Canal de l’Ourcq and Basin de la Villette. Beautiful in their own rights, they actually look more modern than the more famous river. And you'd have a blast hanging out here when you can. Perhaps running in the morning for some much-need exercise? A stroll with your date and talking for hours? The sky's the limit to what you can do along these beautiful bodies of water.

Watch Movies Outside
Who doesn't like watching movies outside? It's cool yet cozy, you're not restrained by movie theater seats, and you can cuddle up to your loved ones. Fortunately, you can do just that in Parc de la Villette. One of the more underrated parks in Paris, this place has become well-known among locals as the site of
Cinema en Plein Air de la Villette, an open-air cinema that screens French films every week. Once the sun goes down, the screen goes up and the show starts. It's a great way to spend some time with friends, perhaps have some snacks—definitely
with some wine—and enjoy life in Paris!

Diverse Parks to Go To
Speaking of parks, the 19th arrondissement has many to offer. And they're far from the
usual parks you're used to in the other parts of Paris! For instance, the already-mentioned Parc de la Villette is somewhat of an art haven. Apart from films, you'll frequently see orchestras playing classical music here, a few corners hosting art exhibitions, and the like. Meanwhile, Parc des Buttes Chaumont, on the other hand, is very much the botanical retreat that you need for a welcome change of pace. Acres of lush greeneries dominate here, giving you more room to relax, have fun, and clear your mind!

Relaxed Dining For All
Finally, enjoy some relaxed dining in this arrondissement. The culinary hotspots here are far from the swanky, uptight establishments in other parts of the city. Le Meltin’, for instance, may stand-out for its decisively red-hued ambiance, but at its core, it's just a good ol' Parisian diner.
Le Laumière, on the other hand, may look old and worn out, but it's the go-to place if you're craving some sumptuous seafood. And what both these places have in common is that they're not as snooty and as high-brow as the other places in other arrondissements!

If you truly want to live on a different side of Paris, the 19th arrondissement is your best bet. The places here and the things to do are far different from those in other arrondissements. It's a new Paris only you will know if you relocated here!
Of course, if you're looking for a home in the 19th arrondissement, a
luxury apartment is always a great answer to that!
