History of Castelli International School

Castelli International School has been around since 1977. Its founder, Ms. P, established the school as a way to combine both rich Italian education with an international curriculum. It was always her objective to open an international school in Rome, one that offers an enriching scholastic experience for kids from all walks of life. Since then, the school has taken on a life of its own. It's now one of the finest primary and secondary schools in the Italian capital, rivaling even the most historic educational institution for young students.

What is Castelli International School's Campus Like?

The school is located on Via degli Scozzesi, right smack in the middle of Rome's central neighborhoods. Its nearest landmark is the iconic Trevi Fountain, possibly the most famous water feature on the planet. This should give you an idea of just how central the school's location is. As for the campus itself, it's a pretty expansive school with all the necessary facilities you'd usually expect in a school. There are spacious classrooms, a nice library, a well-stocked cafeteria, and even outdoor areas for sports. Even when it's in the middle of the bustling Italian capital, Castelli International School's huge campus allows its students to have a complete school experience.

The Castelli International School Student Body

Castelli International School is possibly the most exclusive international school in Rome. For one thing, it only welcomes about 120 enrollees per year, composed of both new applicants and returning students who have yet to graduate. This is perhaps one of the smallest student bodies of any educational institution, especially an international school, in the city. Most of the schools in Rome have a minimum of around 500 students, excluding the daycare centers. And it's not like the campus is small either. The school has more than enough space to accommodate more enrollees.

What is Castelli International School's Curriculum?

Castelli International School follows a British curriculum, including a Cambridge primary program. This is a unique sort of education that maintains a nice balance between focusing on academics and encouraging the students to participate in extracurricular activities. As such, the kids are allowed to pursue whatever they want alongside their usual subjects, which include mathematics, science, and social science classes. From athletics to the arts, the students have the freedom to engage with whatever they want, all while being taught the necessary lessons they'll need to reach greater heights.

How Much Does It Cost to Study at Castelli International School?

In the grand scheme of things, Castelli International School is an expensive school. It's still a private international educational institution, after all. It makes sense that it imposes fairly high tuition fees. But at the same time, its fees are far lower compared to the other top international costs in Rome. Castelli International School only costs about €8,000.00 to €12,500.00 per year. The higher the student ascends a grade, the more expensive their tuition fees become. Nevertheless, most of the other international schools start their tuition fees at €12,500.00 and go up.

Where is Castelli International School in Rome?

As already mentioned, Castelli International School is located on Via degli Scozzesi in Central Rome. It's not too far from the Trevi Fountain, one of the city's most iconic attractions and what many consider the city center. The area itself is pretty lively with all the visiting tourists and bustling locals. It's a great place to visit and explore, but not necessarily to stay. As a parent who has a child studying in a Roman school, you're better off staying in the quieter parts of the Italian capital. They tend to have the more affordable luxury apartments to rent in Rome too.
