NEIGHBORHOOD

Rue Larrey is a one-way street located in the Jardin-des-Plantes district of the 5th arrondissement of Paris. It starts at Monge Square and ends at Rue Daubenton. It is a relatively quiet street but surrounded by life’s conveniences such as shops, stores, restaurants, bars and cafes and a lot more. There are also schools, museums, parks, and pharmacies around the neighborhood. The area is also just kilometer away from the famous Place du Panthéon.

This area has a lot of things to offer. Apart from the standard conveniences of urban living, the area is also rich in culture and heritage. The name of the street alone came from a famous military surgeon under the First Empire, Baron Dominique-Jean Larrey.

Historical structures can still be found in the area. HBM- type social housing units of the Paris-Paris Police Prefectural Society have been present on the street since the 1930s.

There is also a nearby movie theater and other fun spots which you could frequent to get the most of the area. Trains and buses are also accessible as there are nearby metro stations and bus stops should you wish to go to other parts of Paris.
