The 6th arrondissement is generally a desirable place to stay when in Paris. However, there are streets in the area which are far more appealing in a lot of respect than others and Rue du Cherche-Midi is one of them. Adding to the charming appeal of Rue du Cherche-Midi is that it’s not a major thoroughfare for traffic which makes it quiet and calm.
The apartment is on the 1st French floor of a 17th century building located on the oldest end of the street, nearest to the Siene River and the St. Germaine des Pres square. This 40 square meters apartment was recently renovated and transformed into what is now a distinctively warm, authentic, and gorgeous dwelling with exposed beams and stone walls. It redesigned with dedication to open spaces resulting to an open plan living and dining area as well as an open kitchen.
There is a bed couch in the living area that sleeps two people. You’ll also find a Cable TV, a phone, a decorative fireplace, and a large window that looks out onto the courtyard. Next to it is the dining table that seats four people right below the chandelier. Separated by a tall L-shaped bar is the functional kitchen equipped with modern kitchen essentials.
The air-conditioned master bedroom is fitted with two twin beds that when joined together makes a king size bed. The full bathroom has a shower, toilet, and a bathtub.
For added convenience, the apartment has high-speed WIFI internet access and a washing machine and dryer for laundry purposes.
As for accessibility, just a few steps from the apartment is a taxi stand. You also have the different bus lines and 3 major metro lines. The flat is in close proximity with ‘La Grande Epicerie’ gourmet grocery store, the Orsay Museum, the St. Germain des Pres square, the Luxemburg Gardens. An outdoor food market can be found on Boulevard Raspail, which opens 3x a week.
Known as the road that the King used to take to go hunting south of Paris, Rue du Cherche-Midi is located in one of the best spots of the historic Paris.
