Description

When travelling, we certainly want to be in the best spot possible where everything is within the commerce of our perception. This is what this Memphis 5 art collector’s apartment offers.

Situated behind the new Acropolis Museum, and nearby to the new art museum and the exceptionally trendy Koukaki neighborhood, this fabulous 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, home is right in the middle of everything. With just a few steps, you’ll be in for a treat. From museums, to fancy restaurants, to funky street culture and what not, there’s just a lot going on in this neighborhood.

The apartment can sleep up to four (4) guests. It has a spacious and airy living room with a whole bookcase dedicated to art. The owner also has a massive collection of artworks on her walls. Trip out on the fabulous collection of contemporary art on the walls whilst overlooking the ancient Parthenon from the balcony.

The building itself is a modern construction, about 10 years old with an elevator. The apartment comprises a large living and dining area with open plan kitchen, one double bedroom, one extra double bedroom, a bathroom and a WC.

The space also has a large balcony facing the Acropolis Museum from which you can also see the Acropolis itself. The living room has lovely modern furniture and a huge bookcase with hundreds of art and travel books for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is painted a fantastic acid yellow and is full of useful appliances, including coffee machines and etc.

The bedrooms are very quiet, despite its central location. One bedroom is fitted with a queen size bed and the other with double sofa deb. The bathroom is funky - with black tiles, a glass panelled bathtub and chrome washing machine.

Perfect for an evening aperitif is the balcony which offers a view of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum which is becomes more prominent at night courtesy of the city lights and the black glass structure of the museum.

Guests can freely roam around the house. With the exception of one room that keeps the private and personal stuff of the owner, everything is accessible.

Neighborhood

The apartment is situated between the Acropolis, which boasts its evident historical and ancient influence, and the uber trendy Koukaki neighborhoods. In short, this property offers its guests the best of both worlds. This part of Athens is the perfect definition of diversity and individuality. From world class museums, contemporary galleries, great restaurants and local foodie deli's, ancient monuments, and enticing cool bars, everything is just in place.

One intangible feature of this neighborhood is that it is also a haven for cultural exchange by virtue of the flock of people coming from all over the globe, each with a distinct admirable culture. Seriously, this is one of the best places to spend time while in Athens.

Going around is pretty smooth in this community. It is super close to the Acropolis and Fix metro stations which are both just 5 minutes walk. Car parking is easy to find in nearby streets as well, for those with cars. But most of the times, you'll find yourself walking because everything of interest is within 15 minutes walk away.
