Description

This lovely holiday flat is a 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom treasure that offers a sunny, serene, and safe haven in South Kensington, or “South Ken” to the locals. It warmly welcomes up to 8 guests, including including babies, toddlers, kindergartners, grade-schoolers, and adolescents.

The multilevel property at once provides country peace and cosmopolitan bliss, what with traditional furniture mixing well with trendy décor. The high corniced ceilings and whitewashed walls make the interiors a lot roomier. The parlor uses an eggplant-and-avocado color scheme, and it features a luscious chesterfield with equally rich pillows, a pair of period armchairs with an upbeat pattern, a working fireplace crowned by an enormous gilded mirror, and a tall and wide window that looks out to the expansive garden dotted with topiaries. On the other side is an upright piano that will add music to hearty conversations.

An informal sitting room in another part of the vacation rental serves as the library and TV room. A few steps away is the dining area with a modern table and funky chairs, and it shares the space with the fully fitted kitchen. All bedrooms are expectedly clean and conducive to rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Closest tube station: Earl’s Court, a 5-minute leisurely walk to the west.
