Description

Right smack in the area shared with The Boltons, this hideaway has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and it warmly welcomes up to four guests. Certainly one of the best vacation rentals in London and the rest of England, it is an indoor sanctuary surrounded by a luxuriant landscape with fascinating foliage and fresh air.

The South Kensington holiday home occupies a red-brick mansion, and it is within reach of several homes with a history, including the one that Diana Spencer resided in years before she became the Princess of Wales. Like the neighborhood and its notable residents, this property at once exudes glamor and gregariousness, serenity and sizzle, exquisiteness and excitement, quietude and quirkiness.

Inside, the sitting room is at once pleasant and pristine, with touches of dark neutral and dashes of pastel here and there. It takes pride in its intricately corniced ceiling and set of tall windows, not to mention the flooring made of blonde wood and the furnishings that are as charming as these are chic. The dining room exudes a modern aura, particularly with six ghost chairs surrounding the table. It shares space with the kitchen that is fitted with late-model appliances.

Closest tube station: Earl’s Court, a 10-minute leisurely walk on the A3218 from the southern end of Gledhow Gardens.
