Description

This charming and chic vacation rental is a single-bedroom, single-bathroom treasure that graciously hosts two persons. It serves as your mini-paradise in bustling Central London, and it sits snugly in Maida Vale, an über-amazing neighborhood in the City of Westminster’s Paddington area.

Inside is the open-plan living space that blushes in faint rose brown, and it gets much of its radiance from the generous box window that almost runs from ceiling to floor. The sitting area features a peanut-hued sofa that matches the drapery, and it has a shelf filled with curios. The dining area right by has a round table with three ghost chairs. The kitchen, while compact, boasts modern appliances, as well as the cookware and cutlery you might need to prepare delish meals.

An arch leads to the rest and relaxation area, which contains a large bed wrapped in clean sheets. A wall by the pillows is papered in an interesting floral pattern that can sometimes look like sheep to count at night. The bathroom offers a place to energize, and it has a freestanding tub.

Step out of the front door, and you are about to bathe in the luxuriance of Little Venice Gardens. A few strides more, and you are facing alfresco cafés and specialty stores.

Closest tube station: Warwick Avenue, less than a 5-minute walk from the western end of Clifton Gardens.

Neighborhood

The property is located in Maida Vale, an idyllic neighborhood in the City of Westminster’s Paddington area. The Central London district is where many Victorian and Edwardian mansion flats stand, and it brims with recreation grounds, pleasure parks, pubs, taverns, restaurants, and curio stores. Nearby places of interest include St. Mark’s parish church, St. Saviour’s Church, BBC Studios, Lord’s Cricket Ground, Little Venice, and Browning’s Pool. It was once home to David Ben-Gurion, the first prime minister of Israel, as well as computer-science pioneer Alan Turing. Saatchi Shul, an Orthodox Jewish synagogue, was founded here two decades ago. Getting around Greater London is easy, with the Warwick Avenue tube station serving the area.
