The Gin Bar
Part of what makes The Gin Bar one of the coolest bars in Cape Town is that it's almost like a hidden secret. Though in truth, it's the worst-kept secret in the world because it's one of the most popular hotspots in the city. It just doesn't look like it when you go there on Wale street in the City Center. Why? Because instead of a bar, you'll find Honest Chocolate Café, itself one of the best cafes in Cape Town. The Gin Bar is hidden within this coffee shop. Pretty cool, right?
Tjing Tjing Rooftop
A rooftop bar? Check! A fascinating Harajuku theme? Check! Amazing drinks? Check! These are just some of the reasons why Tjing Tjing Rooftop, also known as 'Tjing Tjing Momiji,' is one of the best bars in Cape Town. It's technically a kaiseki restaurant on Longmarket Street but its bustling lounge offers the standard bar setting. You can opt to enjoy drinks at this part of the place or reserve a table and indulge in some authentic Japanese cuisine at the heart of Cape Town. Whichever you go for, rest assured that you'll have the time of your life in this hotspot!

The Willaston Bar
Serving as the in-house hotspot of The Silo Hotel
at the V&A Waterfront, The Willaston Bar is definitely one to check out. Firstly, though it's located on the sixth floor of the hotel, it's still high enough that you can enjoy great views as you sip your drinks. You almost don't know which time that's best to go here. In the afternoon, the sights are much clearer & the sun much brighter. But at night, the contrast between the twinkling stars above and the city lights is quite extraordinary too. As for what to drink here, you won't go wrong with Rémy Martin's Louis XIII cognac!

The House of Machines
Craving some craft beer? Then look no further than The House of Machines that's also in the city center of Cape Town. Firstly, the place is a bike bar, often the hang-out of many bikers in the city. The crowd here tends to get a little rough at times, but for the most part, they're well-behaved. The door even boasts a “Don’t Be A D*CK” sign, both as a joke and as a serious warning that whoever causes trouble gets thrown out. And of course, the beers here are spectacular. They serve all the best brands and even a few they brewed themselves!

And finally, there's Gold Bar, located in the city center of Cape Town. If you're one to visit bars to party and let go of your inhibitions, you've come to the right place! Doors open at 10:00 pm but if you come early, things are still pretty chill. But later on in the night, when the music starts pumping and the drinks start flowing, it's time to party! It's not exactly a nightclub, per se, but it's pretty near! The energy here is always so wild, with people dancing, drinking, and having a good time!
