Saint Martin is part of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It comprises 2 separate countries, divided between its northern French side, called Saint-Martin, and its southern Dutch side, Sint Maarten. The island is home to busy resort beaches and secluded coves. It's also known for fusion cuisine, vibrant nightlife and duty-free shops selling jewelry and liquor.

One of the largest forts on the island, Louis was once the site of armed battles between the major European powers of the Caribbean, and today some rusting cannons can still be seen peppering the lookouts. But it’s the panoramas that really draw the crowds, sweeping out for 180-degrees across Marigot harbour and the hills above Bellevue, encompassing the deep-blue ocean and even the silhouette of Anguilla Island in the distance when the skies are clear.

Maho Beach is a beach on the Dutch side of the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, in the territory of Sint Maarten. It is famous for being adjacent to the Princess Juliana International Airport and is a popular site for tourists and plane watchers, who visit the beach to watch aircraft on final approach landing at the airport, passing only a short distance above their heads.

Simpson Bay Lagoon is one of the largest inland lagoons in the West Indies of the Caribbean. It is located on the island of Saint Martin. The border between the French and Dutch halves of the island runs across the centre of the lagoon.

Pic Paradis or Pic du Paradis is the highest point in a chain of hills on the island of Saint Martin, an overseas collectivity of France located in the Caribbean, with an elevation of 424 m, making it the highest point on the island.

Tranquil, undeveloped, clothing-optional sandy stretch, popular as a snorkeling destination - Happy Bay Beach. More of St.Martin's stunning beaches are Mullet Bay Beach, Orient Beach, Cupecoy Beach, Little Bay Beach, Dawn Beach, Simpson Ba Beach and Friar's Bay Beach.
